Read, Listen, and Play!

January 13 @ 2 pm - 5 pm

Led by music director/conductor Dr. Robert Baldwin and associate conductor Matthew Mainella, the orchestra will play a rousing selection of family-friendly compositions. Fun and reading are on the schedule. Children’s classics will be translated into symphonic sound, including a short comic opera based on Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss, featuring sopranos Jenny Erickson and Kiersten Erickson. Other selections include Aaron Copland’s “Hoedown,” Harry Gregson-Williams’s “Chronicles of Narnia,” Danny Elfman’s “Spiderman,” Kenneth Alford’s “Colonel Bogey March” and John Williams’s “Harry Potter Selections.” Bring the entire family for a symphonic story hour. This program is suitable for children of all ages.
