We are EXCITED to continue our new Quarterly bookclub coming to The Local Artisan Collective! We will annnounce the start of the book club at the beginning of every quarter. This gives people 2 months to come to the store, buy the book and read it. Then the last month they will get to come to the bookclub and actually meet and discuss the book with the author.
This month we are In January, we will be hosting Tiffany Anderson. She will be discussing her book: Butternut to Bionic, A Resource Guide to Hip Replacement Surgery.
The author will give an intro about the book, her background and select 3 or 4 passages to read and share with everyone along with open discussion. Susan will also be happy to sign books during the bookclub.
From the her publisher, Glass Spider Publishing’s webpage: Butternut to Bionic is a tale and a resource book about receiving artificial hips. It is written from a patient’s perspective and takes the reader on a journey of healing and survival. The chapters are presented in chronological order. From start to finish, the reader can follow along and share how I prepared for, received, and am living well with my artificial joints. Butternut to Bionic is a useful and insightful guide for hip replacement recipients, family members or caregivers, and healthcare providers.
