OGDEN — Kirtlyn Bohling and Tatiana Su’esu’e combined to pitch 16 innings without issuing a walk and stymied Portland State’s bats, leading Weber State softball to a series sweep with a 17-3 win Saturday at Wildcat Softball Field.
Su’esu’e (11-3) followed her win in Friday’s nightcap with another Saturday, pitching two scoreless innings before giving up two runs in the third after Weber State already held a 7-0 lead.
The Wildcats (24-13-1, 8-3 Big Sky) put up two runs in the first on consecutive singles from Landi Hawker, Sara Hingsberger and Molly Horne.

Hingsberger tripled in every game in the series.
Blacker and Courtney Pestka each smacked two-RBI singles as part of a nine-run fourth inning.
Bohling pitched a perfect fourth, then Jordan Lockhart pitched the fifth and final inning, surrendering a run on two hits.
The Wildcats swept Portland State (6-28, 4-8) by a combined score of 36-4.
Weber State kept pace with Montana (24-19, 9-3), who swept Northern Colorado, and is a half-game behind the Griz for first place.
The Wildcats next host Utah State at 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, before playing a three-game conference series at Idaho State from April 21-22.

Bohling gave up five hits, struck out four and walked none across five innings.
KyRae Kogianes capped the Wildcats’ first inning with a two-run triple, giving WSU a 4-0 lead.
