The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ 187th General Conference is right around the corner.

And as church members start to prepare for the semiannual conference, we thought we’d recommend one more: podcasts. They serve as a great way to reflect and absorb lessons as you’re taking your daily run, driving to work or cleaning the house.

Here’s a look at four popular podcasts focused on LDS doctrine, history, stories and more.

Want a refresher on what church leaders talked about at the last conference? Visit the LDS Church’s website, where audio of past sessions is available for free.

1. Help Me Understand The Book of Mormon

The Book of Mormon, like most religious texts, isn’t always easy to understand. It takes study and analysis to comprehend. This podcast offers a chapter-by-chapter breakdown of the book with short, insightful episodes.

2. LDS Perspectives

Each week this podcast features an interview with a respected LDS scholar, author or educator about church doctrine, history, culture and more. On the podcast’s website, the hosts say they’re “just everyday Mormons ... sharing extraordinary conversations about” the LDS religion.

3. Mormon Matters

This podcast not only explores the latest LDS Church news and current events, but also takes deep dives into theological and historical topics. On each week’s episode, a group of panelists joins host Dan Wotherspoon to share their points of view.

4. FairMormon

This long-running podcast provides well-documented answers to criticisms of LDS doctrine, belief and practice, according to its website. Most episodes are 20 to 30 minutes long, while others are as short as 10 minutes or as long as an hour. So, no matter how much time you have available, there’s an option that will work for you.
