HUNTSVILLE — A new restaurant with a familiar yet slightly different name has opened in Huntsville.

Huntsville Square Barbecue, not to be confused with Huntsville Barbecue Company which closed last fall, has officially opened its doors at 235 S. 7400 East.

Owner and Huntsville resident Matt Monson said the restaurant, which is in the same location Huntsville Barbecue Company was, has a new menu with new recipes.

Monson said he, Huntsville Square owners Bonnie and Jeff Hyde, and the owners of Blue Coyote Cafe are hoping to organize weekly live music and a farmers market in the summer.

The new restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
