Thousands of fans attended the second day of the Salt Lake Comic Con FanXperience at the Salt Palace Convention Center on Friday, Mar. 25, 2016.
If you’re in the mood to do a some traveling this weekend, here are a few events going on that’ll make your drive worth it.
When: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday
Where: Salt Palace Convention Center at 100 S W Temple in Salt Lake City.
Cost: $25 to $175 online, $30 to $180 at the door
Meet Marvel Comics’ Stan Lee, Weird Al Yankovic, Zachary Levi and other celebrities, dress up as your favorite super heroes, and tour the convention floor at the Salt Lake Comic Con FanXperience this weekend.
When: March 16-18
Where: Vivint Smart Home Arena at 301 S Temple in Salt Lake City.
Cost: $50 for session one, $60 for session two and $65 for the championships.
College basketball fans will have the chance to see No. 2 Gonzaga and other top teams in action this weekend in the first and second rounds of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Championships.
When: All day Friday, March 17
Where: Earl’s Lodge at Snowbasin Ski Resort.
Live music begins at 2 p.m. with Royal Bliis and Tim Daniels. Enjoy bagpipers, corn beef and cabbage, Guinness stew, green beer and more. For skiers, three pots of gold will be hidden on the mountain. Find one and win a 2017/2018 premier season pass.

Catch the end of Utah’s Fashion Week with the Urban/Streetwear Show Friday and the Cocktail & Resort and Evening & Avant Garde shows Saturday. Tickets can be purchased online at www.utahfashionweek.com.

Where: Deseret Peak Complex at 2930 West Highway 112 in Toole.
Cost: $16 for adults, $8 for children
Watch monster trucks of all sizes compete as the Monster Truck Insanity Tour stops in Toole. Featured trucks include Monster Trakker, D’Sturbed and Sniper.

Explore the various elements involved in brewing single origin coffees using manual brewing equipment. All proceeds will be donated to the Foundation for Angelman Syndrome Therapeutics (http://cureangelman.org/). Participants will be gifted with 4 samples of our craft roasted coffee to take home with them, as well as a 10% discount on available brewing equipment.
