Five movies screening for free at Weber County Library branches this week

“Beauty and the Beast” (1991, G) — 2 p.m. Saturday, March 11. “A young woman whose father has been imprisoned by a terrifying beast offers herself in his place, unaware that her captor is actually a prince, physically altered by a magic spell,” IMDb says. The 30th Disney animated feature film will screen at the Ogden Valley branch, 131 S. 7400 East, Huntsville.

“Ice Age: Collision Course” (2016, PG) — 3 p.m. Saturday, March 11. “Manny, Diego and Sid join up with Buck to fend off a meteor strike that would destroy the world,” IMDb says. The voice talents of Ray Romano and Denis Leary will be featured in the film playing at the Pleasant Valley branch.

“Me Before You” (2016, PG-13) — 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 15. “A girl in a small town forms an unlikely bond with a recently-paralyzed man she’s taking care of,” IMDb says. Enjoy the romantic-comedy film at the Pleasant Valley branch, 5568 Adams Ave. Parkway, Washington Terrace.

“Can You Dig This” (2015, not rated) — 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 15. “Can You Dig This” explores the urban gardening revolution currently taking place in South Central Los Angeles, one of the largest food deserts in the country. We follow the inspirational personal journeys of five ‘gangster gardeners,’ all planting the seeds for a better life,” IMDb says. The documentary will be featured at Peery’s Egyptian Theater, 2415 Washington Blvd., Ogden.

“The Trial” (1962, PG-13) — 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 15. “An unassuming office worker is arrested and stands trial, but he is never made aware of his charges,” IMDb says. Based on the novel by Franz Kafka, the film directed by Orson Welles will screen at Shepherd Union’s Wildcat Theater, Weber State University, 3848 Harrison Blvd., Ogden.
