OGDEN — A Plain City man enticed underage girls in three states to send sexually explicit photos and solicited two of the girls for sex, Weber County authorities said in court documents.

Eric Robert Brown, 27, was arrested Wednesday, March 1, and charged in 2nd District Court with seven second-degree felony counts of sexual exploitation of a minor and four third-degree felony counts of enticing a minor. He is held in the Weber County Jail in lieu of $94,500 cash-only bail.

Facebook reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that a social media user enticed girls in Michigan, Alabama and Virginia, ages 13 to 15, to send pornographic images, a Weber County sheriff’s deputy said in a probable cause statement.

The Michigan State Police traced images stored on a 13-year-old girl’s phone to identical photos possessed by Brown, the statement said, adding that the images were sent on Feb. 24 and 25, 2016.

The Weber sheriff’s office served a search warrant at Brown’s home Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2017. The probable cause statement said Brown admitted encouraging the girls to send inappropriate images to him. A search of his phone found seven explicit photos of the Michigan 13-year-old, the statement said.

The Facebook messages also showed Brown solicited sexual intercourse with a 13-year-old and a 15-year-old, charging documents said.

Brown has a court appearance scheduled for Tuesday, March 7 before Judge Scott Hadley.
