OGDEN — Union Station and WSU Alumni Jazz are coming together to present another Jazz at Station concert next week.
The jazz group Standards & Substandards will perform at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, in the Grand Lobby of Ogden’s Union Station, 2501 Wall Ave. The ensemble features Adam Johnston on keyboard, Caryn Crowlyn on vocals, Ian Marshall on percussion and Tim Herzog on bass. In addition to being a part of the quartet, the musicians are also educators and mentors at local schools — including Weber State University and the Da Vinci Academy.
According to a news release, locals jazz fans have been enjoying Standards & Substandards’ music for quite some time.
“It is time to bring them to Jazz at the Station as a featured act,” producers said in the release.
The monthly concert is free and open to all ages. Children are welcome as long as they do not disturb the program. Performances are funded by RAMP and donations by fans.
