Santa Claus will be making plenty of stops around Weber County. Here’s where you can find him

OGDEN — Is there something you or your kids really want for Christmas?

Santa Claus will be making plenty of appearances this holiday season in and around Weber County, so you’ll have numerous opportunities to let your wishes be known:

Newgate Mall

Santa arrives at Newgate Mall, 36th Street and Wall Avenue in Ogden, on Nov. 16 at 10 a.m. and will be available through Dec. 24. His hours there will be noon-7 p.m. Monday through Friday, noon-8 p.m. on Saturdays and noon-6 p.m. on Sundays. From Dec. 17 until 24, those hours will be extended. Bring your cat or dog to get a picture with Santa on Mondays, 5-7 p.m., Nov. 19 until Dec. 17.

Layton Hills Mall

Visit Santa at the Layton Hills Mall, 1201 N. Hill Field Road, Layton, from Nov. 17 until Dec. 24, 10 a.m.-9 p.m. on Monday through Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. on Sundays. Your pet can get a picture with Santa every Monday, 6-9 p.m., from Nov. 19 until Dec. 10. The mall is closed Thanksgiving, Nov. 22.

Station Park

Santa will arrive at Station Park, 140 N. Union Ave., Farmington, on Nov. 17 and be there that day from around 6-8 p.m. He’ll appear through Dec. 24, with normal hours being noon-8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon-6 p.m. on Sundays. Hours will be noon-6 p.m. on Nov. 21, he won’t be there on Thanksgiving, Nov. 22, and Dec. 24 hours will be noon-4 p.m.

Roy

The red-clad one will appear at the Roy tree lighting ceremony on Nov. 19, behind the Roy Municipal Building, 5051 S. 1900 West, Roy. The ceremony goes from 4:30-8 p.m. and Santa will appear from around 5:30-8 p.m., meeting with kids and others in the adjacent Hope Community Center gym.

Ogden

Santa will make a grand entry into downtown Ogden on the last float of the Electric Light Parade, which precedes the opening of Christmas Village on the grounds around Ogden City Hall, 2549 Washington Blvd. The parade, along Washington Boulevard in downtown Ogden, is scheduled for Nov. 24 starting at 5:30 p.m. Santa will greet kids in his castle at Christmas Village from Nov. 24 until Dec. 22. Normal hours will be 6-9 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 5-9 p.m. on Saturdays. Pictures with Santa cost $5.

Meet Santa, Mrs. Claus and the Christmas Village elves at the 3rd Annual Breakfast with Santa. Watch a magic show, get your annual Christmas bell, take a train ride and more. It’s scheduled for Dec. 1 starting at 9 a.m. at the Browning Ballroom in Union Station, 2501 Wall Ave., Ogden. The cost is $20 and a link to the registration form is at www.ogdencity.com/714/Breakfast-with-Santa.

Santa will visit the Local Artisan Collective, 2371 Kiesel Ave., Ogden, on Dec. 7 from 6-9 p.m. See Elfie the Elf, meet Santa, get your picture taken with him, have free hot chocolate and listen to Christmas music.

Meet Kris Kringle at Breakfast with Santa on Dec. 8 from 9-11 a.m. at Ben Lomond High School, 1080 Ninth St., Ogden. The public is welcome and it’ll be in the cafeteria/commons area.

Hear Santa read a story at Booked on 25th, 147 25th St. in Ogden, on Dec. 8 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m and get your picture taken with him.

Clearfield

Swim with Santa and his elves at the annual Clearfield Aquatic and Fitness Center swimming event on Dec. 8 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., 825 S. State St., Clearfield. It’s for kids aged 6 months to 12 years and it costs $7.50 per person. Register online early at reconline.org.

Eden

Santa visits the Eden Center, 2612 N. Highway 162, Eden, on Dec. 8 from 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Get your picture taken with him, shop and get some food.

Riverdale

Get a picture with Santa and a Harley-Davidson motorcycle at Golden Spike Harley-Davidson, 5152 S. 1500 West, Riverdale, on Dec. 15 from 2-5 p.m.

Hill Air Force Base

Santa and Mrs. Claus will ride a fire truck to Hill Aerospace Museum, 7961 Wardleigh Road, Building 1955, Hill Air Force Base, on Dec. 15 and be there from 10 a.m. to around 1 p.m. Get your picture with him under a B-17 and have some snacks. Admission is free.
