OGDEN — Get ready for an evening of real cowboy music.
The SaddleStrings Cowboy Band will present a concert at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, in the Grand Lobby of Ogden’s Union Station.
A band with roots in the Hooper area, SaddleStrings prides itself on being "regular country folks," according to its website. The group started out playing at occasional backyard get-togethers and since 1994 has produced six albums. It’s latest offering is "Songs from the Saddle Shop."
Members of the four-piece group sing songs about the real western lifestyle. All four say they’ve lived and loved the ranch lifestyle.
"Even though we are common folks, taking each day as they come, we are dedicated to doing what we can to preserve and promote the ways of the Old West through our music and poetry," the band is quoted on its website.
The concert is a fundraiser for the Union Station Foundation.
Tickets are $10, available at the door or through www.eventbrite.com.
